Historic District Addition

This addition to an old stone farmhouse is located in an historic district of Solebury Township in Bucks County. The new addition was closely scrutinized and approved by the township’s Historic and Architectural Review Board. The windows on the front façade are discreet openings with shutters to match the existing, while larger areas of windows on the rear open to views of the Paunacussing Creek.

The addition includes a kitchen and sitting room on the first floor and a master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The new rooms are comfortably in scale with the original rooms. The exterior stone wall of the original house is exposed in both the sitting room and the bedroom above.
